The Baker Stately Home Regency Centre Table was designed in circular burr ash by George Bullock, a rare piece. Adorning the inlaid top is a broad border of ebonized floral vines with ebonized bands. The frieze follows suit with ebonized mouldings above a tapering triangular support with raised ebonized moldings. A moulded plinth with dark ebonized lion paw feet is carved with floral scrolls inset with brass casters. The Stately Home collection featured reproductions of antiques found in the palaces and castles of England, Scotland and Ireland. The pieces were originally commissioned by royalty and other aristocratic families as early as the 17th century. The pieces were made using old world tradition of furniture making. Baker's most expensive furniture collection and highly sought after by collectors.
