Description:
Hand Colored print features the front of the Rotunda with the Roman columns, outstanding architecture and bricking. The hand colored print is matted and framed and titled "The Rotunda The University of Virginia Charlottesville, Virginia signed by artist Mary Jane Thomas Stokes 1984. The Rotunda at UVA was designed by Thomas Jefferson, he molded the Rotunda after the Pantheon, a second-century temple in Rome. He designed the Rotunda as the architectural and academic heart of UVA. The Rotunda was completed in 1826, shortly after Jefferson's death of that year.
Condition Report:
The etching is in good condition, I have not examined it outside of the frame. The frame has some wear but is in overall good condition.
