Original Oil and Canvas Painting of Colonial Williamsburg houses featuring the Colonial garden with boxwoods and flowers with white picket fence. Painting is signed by Benecke and titled "Williamsburg" Beautifully framed in a gold gesso frame. William Benecke was born on November 7, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. He was trained at the Art Institute in Chicago, he worked at the Chicago Tribute and Chicago Sun Times as an illustrator. During his lifetime he had a gallery and worked in Mexico, painted and studied in Europe with concentration in Paris. Well known figures have owned his paintings including Bob Hope and Dan Blocker.
